Exit slip Lesson 4 again

y1 and y2 is reflective of each other. y1 is y=3x^2+100 and y2 is y=5x^2-100
So y2 is more wider than y1

Exit slip Comparing & Contrasting

You compare and contrast two functions by finding the highest exponent or if its the same, find the first degree term and then the constant term

Exit Slip For Graphing

1. One major thing i learned today was to how to do Google Spreadsheet.
2. I had no major problems with the work i was doing today because its similar as Excel so it was easy for me.

Progress Update

1. When x is the same I got girth by adding height + height + width + width, which is 4x. I got the Length with the total for Fed Ex which is 130 minus girth. 130-4x. I got the volume by multiplying height and width, x*x, times the total minus the girth, 130-4x.
For the other Fed ex design, when the height is x the width is 2x because of my design, so the girth is 6x. I got the Lenght by subtracrting the total, 130, minus the girth, 130-6x. I got the volume by multiplying the height and widht, x(.5x), times the total minus the girth, 130-3x.
I did this to find the table so i can graph and find the maximum volume.

2. For the graphing i change the windows setting because the lets say the maximum volume was 20,343. So i would go a little over that so i can see the whole loop so Ymax I put was 24,000.
And for the Xmax the maximum volume was 21.67 so i put as the xmax as 36.

3.I organized each data i got into a table by writin each table for each finding, for each 4 equations that i did because each are different designs. So by writing the X and Y i can now graph and show both loops in the graph. And show each different totals i got because of the new design i did. With all the different designs i did for Fed Ex and UPS when the height and width are the same, the maximum volume is going to be greater than when the height and the witdh is different, but when they are different the maximum volume goes down.

What i found out in my experiments was in fed ex that when the height and the width was the same the maximum volume was greater than when the height and the width was different.
For my UPS experiment i also found that if the height and the width is the same the maximum volume is greater also than the height and width thats different. The differences between the Fed Ex designs and th UPS designs are that UPS has higher maximum volumes than Fed Ex so in my opinion UPS is better if you need alot of space.

Project

ok WAN i did the graph
i found the maximum volume
labeled my graph
THATS IT make directions more easier to follow next time damn..

yea

Me in my group have done 3 generalized function for Fed Ex
